Over $8,000.00 These are usually projectors with either XGA(1024 x 768) or SXGA (1280 x1024) native sonyprojectors or true resolution incorporating a minimum of 1,000 lumens of brightness Projector warranties vary from brand to brand. However, they usually have at least one year or more coverage of all parts except the lamp. The lamp will sometimes have a 90 day warranty. Some manufacturers also offer a 24 hour replacement service. In some cases, this may cost extra. Contrast Ratio is the ratio between the whitest and blackest portions of an image. sonyprojectors The higher the contrast ratio the greater the ability of a projector to show subtle color details and tolerate extraneous room light.
Resolution can be defined as the number of pixels used by the projector to create an image. The higher the resolution, the better sharpness and clarity of the picture on the screen. Usually quoted in two numbers, (1024 x 768) The first number represents the number of pixels across the screen. The second number represents the number of pixels from top to bottom. The different types of resolutions are as follows: Resolution Pixels Comments VGA 640 x 480 The lowest resolution and the least expensive. SVGA 800 x 600 Many laptops are SVGA resolution, thus making SVGA a popular choice. XGA 1024 x 768 With new products coming out in XGA, this resolution is the second most popular. XGA projectors tend to be more expensive than SVGA projector sonyprojectors but prices are dropping due to the increased use of XGA laptop computers. SXGA 1280 x 1024 SXGA products are geared towards high-end personal computers and low end workstations. They are often used in situations where acute resolution of small details is needed. UXGA 1600 x 1200 UXGA is aimed at workstation applications with very high resolution. There are not very many products sonyprojectors that have UXGA native resolution.
